Why is it some people just bruise easily? It’s kind of embarrassing and can even keep you from doing things like going to the beach or wearing that special dress to the dance. Another major player in the anti-bruising campaign is Vitamin K. It’s long been known to be important in the blood clotting process, but it’s also been found to strengthen blood vessel walls. One way to make sure you get the right vitamins in your diet is to take vitamin supplements. Get supplement compounds that contain the ingredients above.

It’s possible for certain medications to cause chronic bruising. Anti-depressants and anti-coagulants are both culprits. Even ibuprofen and aspirin can cause problems with getting bruised easily. You should consult your physician and ask if something can be done. Don’t stop taking your meds unless the doctor tells you to.

There are some powerful antioxidants available, such as grape seed extract and pycnogenol, which have been shown to be effective in bruise prevention. If you already have a bruise starting to appear rub in some arnica gel or cream a couple times a day and it should heal faster and not discolor as much as normal. You can use a yellow-based concealer to help minimize the looks of the bruise. Since a bruise’s coloration is red and blue, yellow, which is opposite these on the color wheel, does a good job of covering up bruises.
